AMREF 🌍 - Kokono Project

Description

Amref is Africa's largest nonprofit health organization.

It was founded in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1957 with the goal of creating the conditions for healthy living through interventions in:

  • health care and training;
  • maternal and child health protection;
  • child protection;
  • access to water and sanitation;
  • empowerment of women.

It is active in 35 countries south of the Sahara; more than 20 million people are reached each year through more than 160 projects.

One of these is the Kokono Project, targeting children at risk of dying from malaria in their first 28 days of life. 🤰🏽

Amref's goal with the Kokono Project is to bring the KOKONO cradle to more and more mothers, raise their health and safety awareness by reducing child mortality and training health workers on child health.

Thanks to your donation Amref will bring KOKONO to 4,500 families in 10 districts of Uganda! 🙋🏼

How does it work?

The donation will occur from Lookup Srl to the nonprofit in a cumulative manner.

Tax benefits will accrue to the donor, in this case Lookup Srl, and not to the individual who chooses to collect the award.

At the time of the donation, Lookup Srl will share with the entity the name and email address of the individual who collected the relevant award so that they can receive communications from the entity.
